The Yellowstone County Commissioners voted on several routine items at their June 19 meeting, cancelling the Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for July 4 and approving claims and the consent agenda.
The board considered Resolution 23-62 to cancel the July 4 meeting; a commissioner moved to approve the resolution, another seconded, and the board recorded verbal 'ayes' in favor and cancelled the July meeting. Later the board approved claims numbered 23-193 through 23-196 after a motion and second, and accepted the consent agenda and placed file items on file following a motion by Commissioner Morris.
The presiding officer also read a sponsorship letter from Pepsi Cola Billings and the Dimich family announcing that two hot-air balloons will appear as part of the Yellowstone International Air Show in Billings, including a football-shaped Pepsi balloon and a 7 Up balloon. The letter said at least one balloon display will be tethered and described opportunities for morning flights and evening balloon-glow events at the Montana Fair; the air show is scheduled at Logan Field in Billings Aug. 11–13.
The meeting concluded after the board asked for public comment and heard none.
