Brookhaven board conditionally OKs larger covered deck at 1160 Victoria Street, withdraws side-yard setback request

The board considered a pair of variance requests for 1160 Victoria Street and moved to approve the application to increase allowable impervious coverage for a covered deck while allowing withdrawal of a separate side-yard setback request. Staff described the case as VAR25-00008; the package sought to increase permitted impervious coverage from 35% to roughly 44.96% for construction of a covered deck and to reduce a 5-foot side-yard setback to about 1.3 feet for a wooden staircase.
