The clerk's office reported a small fee change (marriage license from $50 to $60) and a local K‑9 fundraising effort for the sheriff's office. Cecilia, leader of Girl Scout Troop 18–90, brought 13 girls working on a government badge and described troop activities; she told the court the troop sold over 11,000 boxes of cookies last year, raising about $9,800 in proceeds.
Melissa Keller of the local museum outlined a slate of August and fall programs, including the Christian County Art Loop and a History on Tap event Aug. 28 tied to the Kentucky Derby Museum; she said the museum's strategic plan is approaching completion and noted a board retreat scheduled for Aug. 16.

There was no formal action on the Weber Building during the meeting; the buildings & grounds committee earlier reported that the county attorney is preparing parameters to open a bidding process for the Weber Street surplus building with stipulations intended to preserve community intent.
