- 7.2 (commercial environmental due diligence, amendment): Committee noted a typographical error in the committee report and asked OCP/LPD to send a correction letter; the agenda increase was $17,500 with a corrected total of $819,572. The committee requested the corrected information be placed in the clerk’s materials before formal consideration and asked that related ARPA contracts (7.2–7.4) be sent to new business.
- 6.2 (contract 3083818, emergency demolition): Staff reported the property had already been demolished (May 5) but tax clearances had not completed; the committee deferred 6.2 for three weeks pending tax-clearance documentation before payment.
- 6.3 (DWSD stormwater infrastructure contract number 6007080): Procurement and DWSD staff presented an $18,000,000 contract (CIP funded) to support stormwater infrastructure and NPDES obligations in the Upper Rouge tributary and near East Side; committee discussion focused on property acquisition and a resolution of necessity required for parts of the project and the item was brought back in two weeks for more detail (resolution for properties expected in PE committee in July).
- 7.3–7.5 (ARPA-funded amendments and extensions, demolition and training): Committee approved time extensions and amendments and sent items to formal session with recommendations.
- 7.6 (sidewalk replacement contract, major contracting group): Member Waters pressed on contractor responsibility for sidewalk replacement and bonding; OCP indicated bonds are required for contracts over $25,000 and confirmed a $2,800,000 bond figure for major contracting; committee sent 7.6 to formal without recommendation.
- 7.7–7.14 (various construction, public lighting, and right-of-way contracts): Approved and sent to new business with recommendation to approve after staff addressed a needed correction letter for PW7037 (Grand Prix track repairs) in the agenda materials.
- 7.15–7.19 (transportation contracts): Committee approved multiple transit-related contracts, including remanufactured bus engine/transmission contracts and training, and recommended them to new business. Notably, 7.19 is a $1,550,000 MDOT grant-funded contract to expand an autonomous/EV pilot (Perrone Robotics) to revive a free autonomous shuttle service in Corktown–downtown–East Jefferson for roughly one year with the goal of an early-summer restart.
- Referrals: A memo about blight violations was referred to the Law Department with a three-week return date.
