Sidewalks and demolition contracts: The committee discussed contract 6006862 (sidewalk replacement services) and sought assurances that contractors are bonded and have fulfilled obligations to repair sidewalks they damaged during demolition. The group executive said a change under Proposal N now requires demolition contractors to repair damaged sidewalks and that the city has withheld site-finalization funds to cover unrepaired work; OCP confirmed bonding is required for construction contracts over $25,000 and provided a bond figure for the major contractor. The committee moved 7.6 to formal without recommendation to allow additional documentation.
Other actions: The committee approved (by motion and "hearing no objection") a range of items including emergency demolition formal approvals, amendments for environmental due-diligence and training contracts related to demolition activities, fire-department equipment and records contracts, public-lighting conduit revenue leases, remanufactured bus engines and transmissions, CDL training for city operators, and a grant-funded autonomous/EV accessible-transportation pilot (Perrone Robotics) to relaunch an autonomous shuttle service.
Process and follow-up: LPD and OCP will submit correction letters where agenda files contained inconsistent numbers. Several items were sent to formal session or new business with recommendations to approve; one memo on blight violations was referred to the Law Department for three weeks.
