Court approves year-end budget moves, receives preliminary treasurer’s report

The court at its June 30, 2025 work session received a preliminary treasurer’s report and approved several fiscal measures to close out the 2024–25 fiscal year. Treasurer Amy told the court that most expenses have been entered but revenues are still coming in, and she will provide final reconciled numbers at the next meeting.

The court approved the minutes from the June 24 meeting and voted to receive the treasurer’s report by voice vote. The body also approved the second reading of amendment number 4 to Order No. 4-2024 relating to the FY2024-25 budget and authorized a set of final budget transfers.

Amy presented final quarterly cash transfers and said she made two adjustments: the general fund cash transfer was revised from $2,300,000.00 to $2,036,287, and the sheriff fund cash transfer was reduced from $510,000 to $245,000 after a sizable deposit to the sheriff’s fund. "The sheriff brought in a sizable deposit for us today, so I was able to decrease that," Amy said.

A member asked about a $68,000 PDI grant item listed as "due diligence." Scarlett Wissman asked what that covered; Amy said the amount pays for a "geotechnical report, phase 1 environmental survey, title search, survey, and preliminary master plan." The court approved the cash transfers and budget transfers after motion and second; votes were taken by voice and recorded as passed on the record.

No motion was made to deny payment of claims, and the court directed that claims be paid. The session adjourned after the fiscal business was completed.
