The Mason County Fiscal Court used its July 15 meeting to approve several administrative and financial actions, all by roll-call vote.
The court approved meeting minutes from June 10 and the June 25 special meeting, accepted the Road Department and Animal Shelter reports, and approved monthly disbursements for June 2025 totaling $79,876.26.
Finance staff presented Order No. 2506 authorizing interfund transfers for fiscal year 2025–26; the court approved transfers including moves from the General Fund to the Road Fund and others as read into the record. The court also approved budget transfers totaling $627,400.
The court accepted a dedication of Arthur Hills Drive from Fitzgerald Development LLC into the county-maintained road system and noted a Bank of Maysville-held performance bond of $9,450 to be released when required houses are built and the roadway meets administrative-code standards.
On procurement, the court reviewed two bids for a climate-controlled election-storage building and voted to award the project to Perkins Carmack Construction (bid recorded in the minutes at about $139,854). Several surplus and equipment items were also approved for disposal or replacement by roll call.
All recorded motions and votes appearing in the meeting transcript were carried unanimously by the four-member panel present (Commissioners McKay, O'Hearn, Frame and Judge McNeil) where recorded.
Ending
The court adjourned after approving the agenda items; several administrative follow-ups (contract finalization, posting the roadway dedication and publishing approved minutes) were assigned to staff for completion after the meeting.
