The presenter described individual success stories: clients who completed driver-training and obtained a vehicle, a participant who graduated drug court and regained custody and others who obtained jobs and housing after multi‑year engagement with the program. The speaker said that over the past seven years the program served roughly 264 people, of whom 185 obtained jobs and are no longer on government assistance; the program has gifted 16 vehicles and helped 11 participants become homeowners. The presenter said a warehouse move and repurposing of a former daycare will create more space for services and parking.
Separately, 'Casey' from community development briefed the court on upcoming events: 'Snow Cones and Sun Catchers' is set for Friday, July 18 at Armco Park Shelter 5, and the Repair Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27; project applications close at the end of the month and volunteer applications remain open.
Commissioners thanked the presenters and expressed support for continued services and outreach.
