Utah County adopts resolution supporting National Breastfeeding Month and updates employee policy

The resolution’s preamble states that human milk provides ideal nutrition, reduces certain health risks for infants and mothers and that county government intends to amend its workplace policy to better support breastfeeding employees.
The sponsor moved to adopt items 4 and 5 (the resolution and the policy changes); a commissioner seconded the motion and the board approved both items unanimously (3–0).
The county clerk/staff will finalize policy language and arrange for authorized signing.
