The Utah County Commission approved a clerk/auditor request to remove several parcels from the upcoming annual tax sale and, at the meeting, agreed to add parcel number 580290027 to the pull list pending recorder clarification of ownership.
Bert Harvey, representing the clerk/auditor's office, told the commission the recorder's office believes the county may hold ownership of a strip on the Provo River Trail and requested that parcel 580290027 be included on the list being pulled from the sale. Harvey said he would update the agenda after the meeting with the corrected list.
Speaker 2 moved to approve item 10 with the addition of parcel 580290027; Speaker 1 seconded the motion and the commission voted 2–0 to approve. During the discussion, the owner of record for the parcel was said to be James Eaton; Bert Harvey said he did not have the owner name in front of him during the presentation and the record was marked as "TBD" until posted.
Separately, Deneen Jackson of the Clerk/Auditor's Office asked that item 1 on a related list be struck because it is under legal review and there may be a remedy to recoup funds; the commission approved the list with item 1 struck by a 2–0 vote.
The commission's actions were procedural approvals to update tax‑sale paperwork; staff said they would follow up to post the revised list with ownership clarifications.
