During the regular agenda the commission agreed to hold item 5 (reconsideration of property tax actions) and, after discussion, voted to continue that reconsideration for one week (motion by speaker 2, seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote). The motion to continue was made because at least one commissioner said they had not had time to review all items.
On item 20 the commission voted to set a date, time and place for a public hearing to amend the 2021 county budget and related funds. A commissioner moved to open the budget for reconsideration and the motion passed 2-0; commissioners cited the opportunity to finalize 2020 revenues and to consider federal funds coming to the county when discussing the merits of reopening the budget.
No public comment was received on the work-session items; the commission later entered a scheduled closed meeting and adjourned by unanimous vote.
