The agenda referenced a $30,000 transfer but the contract wording in the packet showed $50,000; Commissioner Lee asked for clarity on the source of funds. Commissioners expressed support for the research — noting COVID‑19 created case-flow variations that may enable informative study — but agreed to continue the item to allow the clerk/auditor and UVU to resolve contract details and ensure any funds can be legally expended in 2020. The commission moved to continue item 14 to the December meeting so accounting and the precise award amount can be finalized in time for year-end funding if appropriate.
What’s next: Staff will reconcile the contract and agenda figures, confirm the source of year‑end funds and return the clean contract so UVU can be paid before the close of 2020 if allowable.
