Commissioners discussed whether the agreement's language—which appears to allow the county to provide legal advice on both criminal prosecution and some operational matters—should be clarified going forward. The motion to approve the interlocal agreement carried 3–0.
The commission did not amend the agreement at the meeting; commissioners said staff may review language about civil or operational legal advice in future revisions.
