The Planning & Development Board approved both the design and the site plan for a new Safeguard Self Storage development at 3090 Sherman Street (file 22DP74). Staff presented the application as compliant with IM‑1 zoning, site setbacks, landscape and height standards; the project will demolish three existing self‑storage facilities and consolidate them into a single approximately 91,500‑square‑foot, three‑story facility with 34‑foot proposed height.
Board members asked clarifying questions about a first‑floor office requirement and asked the applicant to enhance Sheridan Street frontage landscaping; applicant agreed to the landscaping enhancement. The board voted and approved design and site plan unanimously.
