After completing public business, the presiding speaker noted that one agenda item (item 6) was not properly noticed and therefore would not be addressed in the public meeting. Commissioners moved to remove other items from the original agenda because of numbering discrepancies and to set dates, times and locations for closed meetings.
An initial motion to strike number 8 was amended to strike number 7 after participants clarified which item was being referenced; the amended motion passed 3-0. Commissioners then voted to set closed meetings for items 6, 8 and 9 to occur immediately following the public session; that motion also passed 3-0, and the commission recessed into closed session.
The chair announced the transition into closed meetings for professional competence and litigation matters.
