Neighbor objects to Sunridge View subdivision; commissioners pull item from consent for one week

During the public-comment portion of the meeting, resident Lopini Wolfgram (Speaker 7) said the proposed Sunridge View Subdivision, Plat B would further encroach on their property along 8400 South and described a prior verbal agreement with adjacent owner Alan Landis. Wolfgram asked the commission to require the road be moved onto the gap on Landis's side and to prevent any expansion beyond Wolfgram’s fence line.

Wolfgram characterized past county and private actions as allowing Landis to claim adjoining land and said Landis obtained a quitclaim of roughly 26 feet to the county, enabling development that Wolfgram says harmed their property interest. Wolfgram asked the commission to "please correct the injustice that was done." (public comment)

In response, Craig Carlisle (Speaker 9), representing Alan Landis, told the commission the road has been a county road "since 1975" and that Landis disputes the account. Alan Landis (Speaker 8) also addressed the commission, said there was never an agreement not to pave, that the road was paved 13 years ago, and described plans to extend the road about 100 feet to create a loop to improve access for buses and county equipment.

Action taken: After hearing Wolfgram, Speaker 3 moved to withdraw regular agenda item 4 from the consent agenda and continue it for one week for staff review and meetings between the parties; the motion carried by voice vote, recorded as 3–0. Commissioners asked staff to provide a property-line map and urged both parties to meet with county planners during the week.

The commission will rehear the subdivision at the continued meeting; no final subdivision approval or conditions were adopted at this session.
