Commission approves Sam's Club request and strikes two agenda items; multiple closed sessions scheduled
Summary

The Board of County Commissioners handled several procedural items and consent requests during its meeting.
On the consent agenda, commissioners approved a request from Sam's Club to use county building space for marketing-type activities as allowed under the building-use policy; the motion passed 3–0. Commissioners then discussed agenda items 6 and 7 in more detail; item 6 (direction to a community performance planner about deliverables including working with EDCU on mega-sites and power-delivery considerations) and item 7 (a proposed county dress code from Human Resources) were each struck from the agenda after commissioners recommended additional department-level work and staff consultation. Both strikes passed 3–0.
The commission also approved scheduling multiple closed meetings for strategy sessions to discuss the purchase/exchange/lease of real property/water rights/shares, sale of publicly-noticed property/water rights, the character or health of an individual or individuals and pending or imminent litigation; each closed-session scheduling motion was approved 3–0.
Staff indicated struck items would be reworked and returned for future action; the Sam's Club approval proceeds under the building-use policy as adopted by the commission.
