At its Nov. 11 meeting, the Rutherford Board of Education approved a slate of consent motions covering personnel and finance matters and later voted to enter executive session on two student matters.
Under the consent agenda Christina Cole moved motions 1 through 18 under personnel (the superintendent’s recommendations, including coaching assignments, a home instructor approval and an elementary teacher hire). The motion was seconded and carried on a roll‑call vote with all recorded members voting yes (recorded yes votes included Mister Bogosian, Missus Cole/Christina Cole, Mister Conte, Mister Healy, Mister Jones, Mister Maison, Doctor Racine, Mister Sprayberry, Doctor Alati and others listed by roll call). The chair declared the motion carried.
Curriculum and instruction items were presented next. Miss Jones moved the curriculum motions, Mister Mizon seconded, and the board carried the motion on a roll‑call vote with recorded yes votes.
Finance chair Mister Bogosian moved motions 1 through 5 under finance; the board took roll call and the motions carried with recorded yes votes.
Near the end of the meeting the board voted to enter an executive session to discuss two student matters for approximately ten minutes. The motion to go into executive session was made by Mister Sprayberry and seconded by Mister Mazon; the board voted in favor and recessed the public portion of the meeting.
