The board approved routine finance items including preapproved claims and the 10/21/2024 claims batch. Chair reported totals for earlier preapprovals and for the current claims batch: among the figures cited were a $613,586.98 grand total for earlier preapprovals and a $395,058.67 grand total for the 10/21 claims.
Commissioners authorized the county health department to apply for the annual emergency preparedness grant for $25,000 (reimbursable). The commission treated the request as routine housekeeping and approved the motion to apply.
Health department staff also requested authority to enter a professional services agreement with Schneider Geospatial to build an electronic food establishment registration and inspection program. The staff stated the contract amount would be $6,320 and that Health budget/accounting sources (State/Indiana funds) would pay for it. Commissioners approved the professional services agreement after legal review cleared contract language.
Separately, commissioners approved a monthly cellular phone allowance of $205 for IT employee Emily Henry.
All motions on these routine items were adopted by voice vote.
