The Eagle Point School District 9 board approved Resolution 2024‑13 on Oct. 22, authorizing $1.5 million in appropriations transfers to wrap up capital projects after ESSER III closeout.
Finance staff explained that ESSER III ended in September and the district moved about $2.4 million of prior general‑fund expenses into the ESSER fund to be reimbursed, largely for staffing and capital projects. The resolution reallocates $500,000 from instruction to support services and $1,000,000 from instruction to fund transfers to support capital construction, including completion of the high‑school HVAC project and to cover buses and related capital improvements.
A board member moved the resolution and it passed by roll‑call vote. Staff said the transfers are budget‑housekeeping that reflect how ESSER reimbursements affected prior year accounts and will allow finishing remaining capital work.
Next steps: finance will implement the appropriation transfers and present any necessary budget adjustments at the next work session.
