He and the presiding commissioner said joining the opt‑in could help Utah County obtain funds to support local services such as education.
Commissioner Lee moved to authorize the commission chair to sign the opt‑in form; the presiding commissioner seconded. The motion passed 2–0.
A commissioner also asked staff to ensure the contact information on the opt‑in form was legible.
