Commission notes conferences, radio segment and annual dinner speaker

S5 reminded the commission about the Indiana Council on Educating Children of Color conference on Nov. 8–9 and noted the Indiana Youth Institute event on Nov. 3–4 in Indianapolis; one commissioner cited a $499 per-person registration figure for a conference. Commissioner Moore (S8) said she and others will appear on a community radio segment about Black men and voting airing Saturday at 8 a.m.
S5 also reminded members that the Human Relations annual dinner and Mayor's celebration of diversity awards is scheduled for Nov. 1 and that Reverend Dr. William J. Barber will serve as the event speaker.
