Summary
The Evansville City Land Bank approved a tree-removal contract for 1560 South Morton (pending certificate of insurance with a fallback vendor), noted completion of a prior tree removal at 2817 Egmont, and approved a $30,000 not-to-exceed 2025 acquisition budget for tax-sale no-sales.

The Evansville City Land Bank moved to hire Devers Tree Care to remove a dead tree at 1560 South Morton, contingent on Devers providing a certificate of insurance; Randy's Tree Service will be used if Devers cannot produce the certificate. Board members reviewed three quotes: Devers ($800), Randy's ($900) and American Eagle ($1,000). Jessica said past practice has been to remove the tree and leave the stump, and the board confirmed that approach.
Jessica also reported that Randy's Tree Service had removed a large tree at 2817 Egmont earlier than scheduled and that the work is complete and paid.
On acquisitions, Jessica asked the board to set a not-to-exceed amount for properties expected to be available after the 2024 tax sale no-sales list. The board approved a 2025 acquisitions budget of $30,000 not to exceed; the board estimated acquisition costs at roughly $500 per parcel and said up to about 60 parcels may be available from the tax-sale no-sales list.
Motions on contractor selection and the acquisition budget were approved by voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tallies. The board adjourned after approving the agenda items.
