County adopts resolution to name three roads in Certificate of Survey 1422

Unidentified Speaker 1 presiding at the Yellowstone County Board of Commissioners meeting said the board adopted a resolution on Aug. 20 to name three previously unnamed roads in Certificate of Survey 1422.
Alyssa Quiroz, of the Yellowstone County GIS Department, told commissioners the county received three road petitions to name the access points on Survey 1422 and that the proposed names passed the department’s checks. “The three that passed our checks were Blessings Way, Queen Lane, and Explorer Road,” Quiroz said.
The board opened a public hearing on the item and invited in-person and online comment; none was offered. Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to approve the road-naming resolution (referred to in the meeting as Resolution 24-132) and Unidentified Speaker 1 seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Certificate of Survey 1422 covers accesses located just south of buildings off Vandiver Road, the GIS presentation said. The resolution was presented as a naming and recording action; no changes to right-of-way or maintenance responsibilities were discussed at the meeting.
The board returned the item to regular business after approval and moved on to other routine items.
