SFPUC extends project labor agreement to seven projects, corrects clerical reference

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission approved a second addendum July 23 to the agency’s Project Labor Agreement (PLA) to extend coverage to seven additional significant capital projects and to delegate authority to the general manager to present future candidates to the PLA Joint Administrative Committee.
Masood Adekani, infrastructure staff, explained the process: the general manager will submit a due-diligence analysis to the Joint Administrative Committee, which must vote unanimously to add projects. Staff asked the commission to amend a recital in the draft addendum to correct an administrative error—the recital referenced "Pumping Station 1" but the correct project is "Pumping Station 2." The commission approved the addendum and the clerical correction by voice vote.
The addendum also ratifies earlier extensions of the PLA to several projects previously added by general manager action in coordination with the Joint Administrative Committee.
