The Lynn School Committee accepted the superintendent’s 2024 evaluation summary and approved a set of six goals the superintendent proposed for the 2024–25 school year.
The committee’s compiled ratings showed most members scored the superintendent as having met or exceeded performance goals in early entry, maintaining momentum and induction. The committee then heard six proposed goals covering multilingual‑learner literacy, inclusion and IEP compliance, building inclusive communities and lowering chronic absenteeism, integrating mathematics and literacy, expanding equitable access to advanced coursework, and implementing the district turnaround strategy.
Members discussed measurable targets tied to the district strategic plan and sought clarity about indicators. The group selected DESE evaluation indicators across the four standards, choosing curriculum and instruction under instructional leadership; environment and human‑resources management under management and operations; family concerns under family/community engagement; and communications under professional culture. The committee voted by roll call to accept the goals and the selected indicators.
Committee members said evidence for the indicators will be collected through the superintendent’s reports and administrative documentation during the coming year.
