The board approved the amendment by voice vote.
The board also approved an extension to the city’s consulting agreement with TDA Consulting Inc., pushing the contract end date to Dec. 31, 2024, so staff can complete work tied to the HOME‑ARP grant. Speaker 5 told the board the consulting work is nearly finished.
In other housing‑related action, the board approved reimbursement of $3,300 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the Evansville/Vanderburgh County Human Relations Commission for fair‑housing outreach and advertising in 2024. Speaker 5 said the funds typically cover two ad cycles.
The largest single item was a CDBG contract authorizing the Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County Inc. to contract with Ace Home Improvement to perform an owner‑occupied rehabilitation at 4521 Ulmer Place, for a total contract amount of $4,545,635. “It’s just as it says,” Speaker 5 said, describing the program and noting no additional comments. The board voted to approve the contract.
