After the public hearing and debate over the private business-club proposal, the Board of Aldermen moved through a slate of new bills and ordinances.

The board approved bill 24-79, a special-use permit for TDJG 2 LLC d/b/a Prime Performance to operate a medical office at 44 Fenton Plaza, following a motion to waive rules and a roll-call vote. The council also approved a series of procurement and agreement ordinances covering park and facility work: bill 24-80 (agreement with All Inclusive Rec LLC for Valiant Park Pavilion), bill 24-81 (Clarity Boulders LLC for the Fenton City Park boulder sign project), bill 24-82 (Homestead Forestry Services LLC for forestry/cutter services), bill 24-87 (RV Wagner for Park Stair repair/replacement), bill 24-88 (Maxim Construction for Budweil Park Pavilion repair), bill 24-89 (Superior Waterproofing & Restoration for masonry maintenance), and bill 24-90 (Ideal Landscape Management for irrigation services). Most of those actions were approved after motions to waive second-reading rules and carried on subsequent roll calls.

The board also enacted administrative ordinances: bill 24-83 calling a general election for April 8, 2025 (candidate filing opens Dec. 10, 2024); bill 24-84 amending chapter 100 (general penalty) of the municipal code; bill 24-85 authorizing an intergovernmental cooperative agreement with Valley Park for court services; and bill 24-86 adding a personnel-manual section on occupational exposure and hepatitis B vaccine requirements for certain positions. Board members frequently sought and the council granted waivers of the rules to permit second readings and final votes at the Sept. 26 meeting.

Finance and audit items included approval of an agreement with Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson CPAs PC for professional auditing services (bill 24-92) and an amendment to the FY2024 budget (bill 24-93). Roll-call votes were recorded for these items and motions were announced as carried.

The meeting concluded with a second motion to move into executive session for legal matters under Section 610.021(1); the motion carried and the board recessed to executive session.
