Chair Brad Holton opened a combined session of the Board of Canyon County Commissioners and the Ambulance District board and announced a public hearing on the tentative fiscal year 2024-25 ambulance district budget.
"Per statute, this board is the Board of Canyon County Commissioners, but we also operate and work as the board of the ambulance district," Holton said as he explained the dual role and the sequence of tonight's proceedings. He instructed that speakers must be recognized by him and "we'll give each person, 3 minutes to speak."
Holton called the Ambulance Commissioner's Board to order and confirmed the meeting had been advertised. He moved to approve the meeting agenda as presented; an unidentified commissioner moved and seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to approve the agenda, with three recorded ayes. "Motion carries unanimous," Holton said.
Under new business Holton introduced the public hearing for the tentative fiscal year 2024-25 ambulance district budget and said a presentation would be given by the chief. An unidentified commissioner noted that Chief Stoll could not attend the meeting.
No budget figures, line-item proposals or public testimony appear in the provided transcript segment. The board proceeded from agenda approval to the scheduled hearing process; the record in these segments ends after the chief's absence was noted.
