Board of Township High School District 211 votes to enter closed session to interview superintendent candidates

The Township High School District 211 Board of Education voted unanimously to enter a closed session to discuss personnel matters and to interview candidates for the district’s superintendent position.

The meeting opened with a roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance. The chair told the board that “there is no one here to address the board this evening,” then recommended the board enter closed session “to discuss appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, and interview candidates for the position of superintendent of schools.” A motion to enter closed session was made and seconded and carried on a roll call vote in which all recorded members answered “Aye.”
