The East Dundee village board unanimously approved its consent agenda on June 24, adopting minutes, accepting a warrants list of $268,422.22 and approving several ordinance and resolution items, including a mural policy and a $25,000 facade improvement grant for the Dundee Crossing business development district.
Trustees also approved ordinances authorizing the issuance of two tax-increment financing (TIF) notes: TIF note No. 9 for Pal Land LLC in the amount of $37,955.71 and TIF note No. 11 in the amount of $127,881.95. The board then moved to authorize a professional-services agreement with Vanderwall & Associates to prepare TIF planning materials for two proposed TIF districts.
Consultant Scott Harrington said the first step is qualifying the parcels under Illinois TIF law (blighted or conservation district criteria), then preparing project plans, cost estimates and joint review board materials. Harrington recommended aligning the two districts on the same schedule to reduce duplication of meetings and notices; the board approved proceeding and recorded a unanimous roll call vote.
The board recorded the approvals and will proceed with document preparation, joint review board outreach and the required public hearings before any final TIF adoption.
