Council adopts three resolutions, approves ordinance on first reading and several appointments

The council also voted 6-0 to adopt Calendar Resolution 2024-24, approving assignment of an existing license agreement (referenced in the transcript as resolution 2024-08) to a new owner for property that had been sold at 513 Gerard Street. Appointments and consent items: Council member Robertson moved to appoint James Kurtz and John Muldoon to the Economic Development Advisory Board; that motion carried by voice vote (recorded as 6-0). The council also approved a set of special events on the consent calendar — including the Havre de Grace homecoming parade (time amended to 5:30–6:30 p.m. on Oct. 17), Holly Jolly Days/tree lighting (Dec. 6), the Franklin Street Market, and the Wave of Light remembrance walk (May 31, 2025) — by a 6-0 consent vote.
