By voice vote the commission approved a five‑year lease (with a three‑year extension option) authorizing the general manager to execute agreements with C Cliff Fund LLC, Delmar SF LLC, TIC Investments LLC and 50 Quint LLC for contractor parking and ancillary services at an annual rent of $1,200,000 with CPI‑based annual increases. Deputy General Manager Michael Carlin described the location benefits for staging and contractor parking for Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant construction.
The commission also voted to approve plans, specifications and award contract number WW667 (Mariposa Dry Weather Pump Station Improvements) in the amount of $17,031,000 to the lowest qualified, responsible and responsive bidder, Western Water Constructors. A motion was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the commission considered personnel matters and, following consideration of the general manager’s contract and performance goals, approved a bonus payment of $10,175 to the general manager under Section 4(c) of his employment contract. The commission announced the contract basis for the bonus and recorded the award by voice vote.
