Kearney proclaims June 15 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day; county representative outlines warning signs

The proclamation, as read in the public meeting, states in part: "I, Randy Pogue, mayor, do hereby proclaim 06/15/2024 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in the city of Kearney, Missouri, and I encourage all of our citizens to recognize and celebrate older adults and their ongoing contributions."
Board members and the presenter posed for a photo opportunity after the proclamation reading. The board did not take further formal action; the proclamation was placed on the public record.
