Raytown aldermen approve meeting-date change, housing repairs and routine contracts; unanimous votes for ARPA and IT items

Housing repairs: Diane Eggert, representing Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity, asked the board to authorize up to $200,000 in ARPA funding to expand the minor home repair program. Eggert said the additional funds would allow assistance to roughly 30 homes (up from about 10 annually) and help address a waiting list of 93 applicants; council approved the allocation on a unanimous vote.
IT and records systems: The board authorized a three-year agreement with MDL Technology, LLC for IT services not to exceed $125,160 after an RFP produced three responses; the board also authorized a $56,500 annual maintenance payment for the police department's TAC10 records-management system to Global Public Safety. Both resolutions passed unanimously on roll call.
Other items: Council approved a budget amendment to transfer ARPA funds to the stormwater fund for engineering oversight ($198,600) and authorized a professional-services agreement for on-site construction oversight of the 50 Ninth Street stormwater project (not to exceed $198,000). The board approved the consent agenda (meeting minutes) and heard first readings on two compensation ordinances (Board of Aldermen and municipal judge compensation) to be considered at a future meeting.
