Evansville MPO approves updated MOA with DOTs and a $52,500 services agreement to assist METS with grants

Pam told the committee federal regulations require an agreement among state DOTs, the MPO and transit agencies that identifies roles in the metropolitan planning process. She said the 2015 memorandum of understanding will be replaced upon approval of the new MOA; the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) had already provided approval and METS had received Board of Public Works approval earlier that day. Pam said signatures obtained at the meeting will be forwarded to NDOT for further processing.
Jennifer presented the MOA for services to assist METS with grants and financial reporting for calendar year 2024 and said "compensation will be $52,500 in local funds." She added legal services had reviewed the document and METS signatures were obtained on May 23, 2024.
Both agreements were approved by voice vote with ayes recorded and no opposition noted in the transcript. The MOA replaces the prior 2015 agreement and is to be forwarded for NDOT processing; the METS services agreement directs MPO staff to provide grant and reporting assistance under the $52,500 local‑funds contract.
