President Wall called for a single motion to approve agenda items 1 through 70 and item 72. The board moved, seconded, and approved the omnibus motion by roll-call vote; board members on the record voting 'Yes' included Mr. Wall, Mr. Demare (roll-call listing), Mrs. DiCillo, Mr. Buckley, Mr. Labecki, and Mrs. Lopresti; the motion passed.
Board member Labecki then read item 71, which asked the board to accept a non-monetary donation from the Holmdel Football Association and the Touchdown Club: a 32-foot trap chute to be used by the Holmdel High School football team, with an estimated cost not to exceed $3,715. A motion and second were made to accept the donation and the board approved the item by roll-call vote.
During the discussion period, Board member Labecki said he had met with the superintendent about potentially hiring a public-relations firm. He said a communications committee will be scheduled to interview candidates and identify finalists who would make presentations to the full board.
President Wall closed the meeting after brief public comments, and the board adjourned following a motion and vote.
