The commission recognized Deputy Kyle Curtis of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office as the June employee of the month. Commissioners read nominating comments from Sergeant Nick Friedrichson and others that praised Curtis for initiating countywide patrol training focused on search and hostage rescue, for leading peer-support efforts after the recent death of a sergeant in San Joaquin, and for coordinating meals and benefits assistance for affected officers and families.
Commissioners and staff thanked Curtis, who accepted the recognition and briefly expressed appreciation for his teammates. Staff will provide a photograph and packet documenting the recognition.
