The Tempe Union High School District board voted 5-0 to approve 10 course proposals for inclusion in the district course catalog for the 2025–26 school year.
Mr. Threadgill outlined the multi-step process: site committees (assistant principal of academics, a staff member and a parent) convened, proposals were reviewed at the campus level, and the district curriculum council met three times to evaluate and vote on submissions. The proposals being approved are intended for implementation in 2025–26 and were shared with board members in advance.
Vice President James moved to approve item H2; Member Steele seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board requested additional course descriptions and specifics earlier in the future to aid review and asked staff to provide fuller materials prior to approval on future cycles.
