SFPUC authorizes $14.68 million MOA increase and two‑year extension with National Park Service

Steve Ritchie, assistant general manager for water, explained the modification extends an MOA the agencies have maintained since about 2016 and increases funding to roughly $7.3 million per year to cover cost‑of‑living adjustments and expanded work, including watershed protection, security and scientific monitoring that support the filtration‑exemption program.
Ritchie said the MOA extension is two years (bringing the MOA to a four‑year term) and is subject to Board of Supervisors approval under Charter Section 9.118; the commission moved and approved the modification during the meeting.
The commission recorded no separate public opposition during the item and approved the authorization to execute the modification.
