"Is there a motion to set that public hearing for 09:30 on Tuesday, July 9?" the chair asked; the motion was made by Heather, seconded by Diane and carried.
Separately, the board read Ordinance 60 (general assistance) three times and adopted the final version. One supervisor asked about Section 4, Number 3 (page 4), which requires applicants to reside in Madison County before receiving training assistance; the question sought clarity on how long residency must be established. The board approved the ordinance despite the question and asked staff to note the residency language for future clarification.
Staff also described plans for public input sessions on comprehensive plan revisions and other ordinance updates to ensure the public can review draft materials before formal hearings.
