The Harrisburg City Council voted to approve a six-month severance package and three months of COBRA premium coverage for the city’s departing administrator.

An unnamed speaker who said they had served the community for 11½ years addressed the council and asked for a “full severance package that includes health insurance,” citing accomplishments during their tenure. During the business portion of the meeting, under business item 2, a council member (Speaker 7) moved to approve “six months severance pay at the rate of pay and separation and to approve 3 months COBRA pay pending approval from city attorney.” The motion passed on a roll call of council members who answered in the affirmative.
