Evansville officials approved a package of contracts and procurement actions Wednesday that included $400,000 in HUD-funded emergency home repairs, $50,000 in predevelopment funding for scattered-site affordable housing and a one-year extension of a janitorial-supplies agreement.
Haley, a city presenter, told the board the $400,000 contract with Memorial Community Development Corporation (MCDC) is “the first of our 2024 program-year contracts that we’re getting out now that we have funding that came down from HUD.” Haley said MCDC averaged about 17 home repairs under the last similar contract and staff expects a comparable number this program year.
