The Village of Montgomery authorized staff to proceed with the sale of a vacant lot at 218 South River Street related to a prior demolition order.
Staff reported the village received a demolition order from the King County Circuit Court, demolished the house, recorded the deed after the village approved acquisition in June, and completed an appraisal. The resolution adopted at the meeting authorizes staff to publish the resolution in the newspaper, make the appraisal available for inspection, and prepare a purchase contract. Staff said the purchaser and final contract will return to the board for approval.
Trustees moved and seconded the resolution; roll call recorded unanimous approval (6-0).
No purchaser was identified at the meeting, and staff said the matter will return to the board with contract terms and buyer information when available.
