The City Council unanimously approved a batch of alcohol-license renewals and granted two individual package-to-go licenses during its Oct. 22 meeting.
Clerk read Resolution R-2410-46, authorizing the listed alcohol-license renewals for calendar year 2025. Council member discussion praised the batch approach for streamlining review and avoiding reading each application individually.
Following the batch motion, the council considered two separate applications presented by the clerk. The first application was for Wetherby Columbia LLC doing business as RK Shortstop (1660 North Columbia Street) for a beer‑and‑wine retail package to‑go license. A motion to approve passed on unanimous roll-call vote.
The second application was for 9 Star Food Mart Incorporated (196 Robertson Mill Road, Suite A) for a beer‑and‑wine retail package to‑go license; that motion also passed unanimously.
No objections or abstentions were recorded in the roll-call votes for the resolution or either individual license approval.
