Commissioners adopt health‑center proclamation and approve routine budget, road‑naming and claims items

At its Aug. 6 meeting, the Yellowstone County Board adopted a proclamation declaring August 2024 National Health Center Week in Yellowstone County, approved final FY24 budget adjustments, set public hearings on the FY24‑25 budget and county mills, set a hearing on a resolution to name unnamed roads (C of S 1422), approved claims and the consent agenda.
The Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 6 adopted a proclamation recognizing National Health Center Week in Yellowstone County and approved several routine administrative items.
Unidentified Speaker (S5) read a proclamation praising community health centers and highlighting Riverstone Health’s local role, including a statement that Riverstone "generates over 49,000,000 in local economic impact to our region" and noting its 50‑year history. Unidentified Speaker (S5) moved to adopt the proclamation and Unidentified Speaker (S3) seconded; the board adopted the proclamation by voice vote.
On finance, Jen (S10) summarized seven budget adjustments, saying six reflected savings or unexpected increased revenue and one transferred accumulated reserves into the capital improvement program. Unidentified Speaker (S3) moved to approve the final FY24 budget adjustments and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The board set public hearings for the FY24‑25 final budget, FY25 county mill levies and FY24 budget amendments for Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 3108 of the Stillwater Building.
Unidentified Speaker (S1) presented Resolution 24‑1‑25, a resolution of intent to name unnamed roads in Certificate of Survey (C of S) number 1422; Unidentified Speaker (S3) moved to adopt the resolution and set its hearing for Aug. 20, Unidentified Speaker (S5) seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
Claims numbered 24‑191, 24‑192, 25‑008 and 25‑009 were moved for approval by Unidentified Speaker (S5), seconded and approved. The board then approved the consent agenda and placed file items on file on a separate voice vote.
The board called for public comment; none was offered and the meeting adjourned.
