Yellowstone County adopts subdivision regulations for Laurel planning area

The Yellowstone County Board of County Commissioners voted April 23 to adopt Resolution 24‑73, which reaffirms subdivision regulations in the county planning jurisdiction around the City of Laurel.
Kurt (planning staff) briefed commissioners on the regulations’ history, saying the rules trace to 2006–2007 when the Laurel City‑County Planning Board originally recommended them and that staff updated the regulations in 2017 to comply with state statutes. The city‑county planning board recently recommended the county reaffirm the regulations, and no members of the public offered testimony at the board’s public hearing.
Commissioner Morris moved to adopt Resolution 24‑73; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The resolution was approved during the meeting and became the board’s action on the item.
