The Vanderburg County Community Corrections advisory board on Aug. 8 reviewed quarterly program reports and financial balances and approved the JRAC report by voice vote.
Katie presented the JRAC quarterly report, reporting 101 participants on electronic home detention and 149 participants supervised during the second quarter; 36 participants completed the program successfully, two received new charges, and 10 were revoked for technical violations. Katie told the board the JRAC report had been sent to members July 15 and that Judge Trotman had approved it prior to distribution. A board member asked Katie for details about the two participants who received new charges; Katie said she did not know the details off the top of her head and offered to follow up by email.
Ain reported program caseloads: the work release program had 175 individuals (135 males, 40 females) with two females on a wait list; the drug court program had 176 participants. Jodi Ivalot, standing in for Mignon Ware, said Veterans Court enrollment is "hovering right around the 20 number," and noted the program recently enrolled three female veterans who are now mentoring graduates; Ain credited Rocky Peppers, Veterans Justice Outreach specialist, with outreach efforts.
On finances, Kelly Kircher reported $392,968.55 in user fees, $45,582 in CTP funds, $42,875.48 remaining in the work release grant, and $7,905.09 in the treatment-court grant balance.
The board approved the JRAC report by voice vote; the transcript records ayes but no roll-call counts. No public comments were submitted during the meeting. The board set its next meeting for Dec. 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. and adjourned.
