County adviser McCord, who reviewed the numbers during the meeting, said the levy and rates were calculated conservatively. "They're gonna be lower than that when it's all said and done by a good chunk," he told the council, noting assessed-value assumptions used in the draft.
The council moved and seconded the ordinance/resolution (identified in the meeting as ordinance/resolution 1 20 24) and approved it by roll call. The president and staff said the ballot and scheduling procedures required by the Department of Local Government Finance will follow the adoption.
