Cleveland County commissioners approve multiple board and advisory appointments

The Cleveland County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a slate of appointments to county advisory boards and partner organizations during its regular meeting.
For the Child Fatality Prevention Team the board appointed Tamara Hardy, Hunter Freeman, Jessica Crawford, Dean Newton, Sergeant Derek Toney, Peter Bagley and Katie Baker to three-year terms scheduled to conclude on June 30, 2027. Commissioners then approved appointments to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council: Sandy Hamrick, Stacy Spicer, Joel Shores and Jeannie Patterson for two-year terms ending June 30, 2026.
The board appointed David Austin, James Gibson and Neil Stroop to the Volunteer Fire District Commission for four-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027. For Partners Behavioral Health positions, the board appointed Commissioner Ronnie Wittstein to a commissioner appointment running through Nov. 30, 2024, and Patty Schaeffer to the consumer and family advisory committee through June 30, 2026.
Finally, the board appointed Lisonbee Gregg, Lyndra Phillips and Paula Knoep to the Social Services Board for four-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027. Each slate was moved, seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
The appointments closed the night's business; the chair announced the next meeting date and the board adjourned.
